When March hit and my Spring program didn’t create enough revenue for my business I panicked.
Am I going to be able to sell a $2,997 program when the country is shut down?
Is anyone going to want to invest in their health with my other program?
Am I going to lose my W-2 job that pays most of my bills?
Well it turns out I did lose my W-2 job. I am not your typical entrepreneur. I keep a W-2 job and my business endeavors because part of our investment strategy is investment properties and if you ask any mortgage lender they will tell you that a 100% entrepreneur income is a lot harder to get a loan than when you have that PLUS a nice steady, safe W-2 income. (This is literally a story for another day).
So when COVID hit and I lost my job AND my program barely sold, I was left with living off my savings and a panic that I would dry it up.
Can we stop here for one second and celebrate that I had savings to live off of? Also we are a 2 income home and I am not the primary bread winner so we were thankfully not hurting financially.
However, my ego was in the toilet.
CAN I EVEN DO THIS?
I knew that I needed to do something.
So I did what most people would never do and put a mastermind on my credit card and pulled up my big girl undies and said I was going to become the person who thrives in a pandemic. I was going to become the leader of the pack.
